It's About Time

On my 21st birthday in 1990, I bought my first guitar at a pawnshop on Summer Avenue and dropped out of college! My parents weren't exactly happy with my new career path but I was excited! I guess , like most college kids, I really didn't know what I was gonna do with the rest of my life but I knew I wanted to play music and sing for people.

This is my first studio album in 25 years and for those of you who know me, I've done a lot of living and a lot of (near dying) in that time.

Not unlike many of you, there are stories and feelings from the past two decades that are locked up inside my soul and heart, and I guess my brain too. I never did quit writing, I just took a huge break from "sitting down to write" and so in the last two years, I started sitting down to write again. With several guitars close by, my cell phone and also many pens and legal pads of paper, I have tried to make some sense of all the blessings and challenges that I've had (and make it rhyme!). 

My hope is that somewhere inside these songs, what is not only a story for me to share but a story that is yours as well; my hope is that these sentiments no longer belong to just me, but to the rest of you out there willing to listen.
